WTT 01 The Nairobi City Tour Approximately
2 hrs
An orientation tour featuring visits to places of interest, including
the colourful City Market, the National museum and the snake park.
WTT 02 Maasai Footsteps
Enjoy the culture and lifestyle of the Maasai in the superb backdrop
of the Great Rift Valley.
WTT03 Nairobi National Park
The lions roar and the rhino graze within sight of the city skyline.
WTT 04 Karen Blixen Museum &
Giraffe Centre
Visit Karen Blixen’s house, as seen in "Out of Africa",
and afterwards have tea with the giraffes.
WTT 05 Carnivore Experience
Enjoy lunch or dinner. The Carnivore is unique for its steaks, barbecue
and variety of game meat.
WTT 06 Rift Valley Lakes - Full
day including lunch
Your destination is Lake Nakuru National Park, home to a diverse
range of wildlife and variety of bird life (flamingo population
seasonal). Pass through the picturesque Lake Naivasha Country Club
for afternoon tea. (160 KMs 3hrs)
WTT 07 Maaasai Market, Kikuyu
Tea Estate & Stone Age Caves
Start out at the colourful Maasai Market with good opportunities
for shopping. Time for lunch at Kentmere Club before driving to
Kiambu to visit a Tea Estate with a tour of the factory.
WTT 08 Visit Orphan Animals &
Nairobi National Park
Half an hour’s drive to Daphne Sheldrick’s home where the orphan
animals are cared. On the Carnivore for lunch, then into Nairobi
National Park for a game drive.
WTT 09 Iron Snake Overnight Train
- Daily departures from Nairobi/ Mombasa.
Constructed at the turn of the century and dubbed
the ‘iron snake’ Kenya Railways offer an overnight rail service
to and from Mombasa. Travel is in first or second-class sleepers
with departures in the early evening. A simple dinner and breakfast
are served on board.
The standards of the railway service vary from time
to time and this mode of travel is on request and subject to the
standards pertaining at the time of booking.
